Well people I just saw Sam Raimi's newest vision of horror, "Drag Me To Hell"

Again, hats off to you Mr. Raimi. you are surely a god of horror and comedy.

Drag Me to Hell is a horror story (with comedy elements) about one; Christine Brown (Allison Lohman(Big Fish, Matchstick men)) who is in competition with a fellow employee at the bank she works at for the now vacant assistant manager position. When opportunity arrives to show her boss that she is capable of making the "tough" decisions, she turns down an old gypsy for an extension on her mortgage. The gypsy returns the favor by placing a curse on Christine where she is tormented for three days before she is finally, and literally, drug to hell.

The movie is a thrill ride from start to stop, opening with a terrifying scene and ending with a- well c'mon, I'm not gunna spoil it. The movie does a very good job at drawing the line between terror, and overdoing it, and with sam raimi's signature slap-stick comedy and laughable gore, you never feel (too) overwhelmed.

Where as the story is really nothing to special (though original as can be for today's standards.) what really makes this movie, is the sound. Full control of sound outputs, and surround sound, the terror is not only on screen, but off as well, with sounds to make you jump coming from exact locations in the movie, you really have a reason to say "dont go in there."

Overall I had a really great time at this movie and I really do recommend it. Though in some parts it is very terrifying, the comedy relife lifts just enough tenssion to make the movie enjoyable.

Would I call it Evil Dead 4? Eh, sure why not, good job buddy.
